Halo Master Chief Collection To Receive a 120FPS Upgrade

While we won’t be able to play Halo Infinite at the launch of the next-generation console, Microsoft is throwing Halo fans a bone with an upgrade to the Master Chief Collection. The company announced today that a free upgrade coming next month will improve the gaming experience of the older titles.

Specifically, the Master Chief collection will be optimized for the Series X/S and support 120FPS in the campaign and multiplayer, 4k resolution support on the Series X, and these updates arrive on November 17th. If you already own the game or are playing via Game Pass, there is no charge for the update.

In addition to Halo MCC, other games that support 120FPS on the Series X include Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Dirt 5, Gears 5, Ori and Will of the Wisps, Rainbox Six Siege, The Falconeer, Second Extinction, Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, Metal: Hellsinger, ExoMecha, and Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition.

While we wait for many more titles to arrive, especially from Microsoft’s own studios, these are the titles you will want to play on, or around, the release of the next-generation Xbox console.

There are so many games I'm waiting to play on Series X…it's so frustrating that I can't at least get on a preorder list.

Very excited about the Series X… My better half actually manage to order it for launch day (yay) unfortunately I think she might want to put it under the tree for the kids…. So I might have it but not be able to play it for 6 weeks.
