Forza Horizon 4 is Coming to Steam on March 9

Microsoft announced today that its hit game Forza Horizon 4 is coming to Steam on March 9. You can add it to your Steam wishlist now.

“The Forza franchise is headed to Steam for the first time with the award-winning Forza Horizon 4 on March 9,” Forza Horizon creative director Mike Brown writes in the announcement post. “Players have been celebrating the seasons in historic Britain on Xbox consoles and Windows 10 PC with Xbox Game Pass, and we’re thrilled to bring Forza Horizon 4 to a whole new audience on Steam.”

Forza Horizon 4 will provide all the same expansions, and environments, 600+ cars on Steam as it does elsewhere. And yes, the game will support cross-play, so that gamers can compete across Xbox consoles, Windows 10 PCs, and Android via Game Pass Ultimate with Game Streaming.

You can check out the Forza Horizon 4 listing on Steam for more information. Well, aside from the price, which wasn’t part of the announcement. That said, I assume pricing will be consistent across platforms too: Standard Edition is $59.99, Deluxe Edition is $79.99, and Ultimate Edition is $99.99.

This one is odd, as it is a play anywhere title. So if you own an Xbox, best to buy it in the Microsoft store.

I love this game.

I’ve driven some of the real life roads that inspired parts of the game, and it really does feel like Britain.

During the pandemic, whilst working from home, I’ve taken to spending half an hour “driving to work” in Forza Horizon 4 ?

I really don't understand why you'd buy this in Steam rather than the Microsoft Store.

Quicker to download and to manage updates, better at handling mods. Moreover most people use steam and it’s nice to have all your

games in the same place

Probably my favorite game for the past few years. Made my purchase through the Microsoft Store due to Play Anywhere capabilities. Love being able to play on my Xbox and PC with cloud sync/save. As much as I love Steam, I hope they separate the online communities to prevent any hacking/cheating with players on the MS Store platforms. I've personally never had a problem with speed of download or updates. To each their own I guess.
