Microsoft announced this past week that it will finally bring Minecraft to the PC versions of Xbox Game Pass.
“Minecraft is coming to Game Pass for PC November 2,” Microsoft’s Megan Spurr writes in the announcement post. “And even better, you’ll have access together for the first time ever as the Minecraft: PC Bundle includes both the Java and Bedrock Editions.”

On Xbox Game Pass for PC, Minecraft will support cross-play and you can switch between the different editions of the gaming from a new unified Minecraft Launcher. For those unfamiliar, Minecraft: Java Edition is the original PC version of the game, and it works across Windows, Mac, and Linux, while the Bedrock Edition is newer and supports cross-play with non-PC players on consoles and mobile.
“There are millions of players in the global Minecraft community, and we are thrilled to soon count the Game Pass PC community among them,” Spurr adds.
