Microsoft’s Countdown Sale Kicks Off With Big Xbox and Surface Discounts

Microsoft has kicked off its annual Countdown sale today with discounts on select Surface hardware, Xbox consoles, and hundreds of Xbox games, movies, and TV shows. A selection of apps is also on sale on the Microsoft Store for Windows 11 and Windows 10.

If you’re interested in Surface devices, Microsoft is offering up to $500 discounts on select Surface Pro 9 configurations. You can also save up to $400 on select Surface Laptop 5 and Surface Laptop Studio 2 models, and up to $150 on the Surface Laptop Go 3. These deals are available until December 24, but you can take advantage of up to 50% on select Surface accessories until January 2.

On the Xbox front, you can get an Xbox Series X bundle with Diablo IV for $399, while the Xbox Series S Starter Bundle with 3 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is down to $239. You can also save up to $44 on Xbox Elite Series 2 controllers, up to $19 on regular Xbox controllers, and up to $13 on Microsoft’s Xbox headsets.

Starting today, you can also save up to 50% off hundreds of Xbox games including the Call of Duty Modern Warfare III – Cross Gen Bundle, EA Sports FC 24, Starfield, and many other blockbuster games. Moreover, Microsoft is also bringing back its $1 14-day Game Pass trials, which are available for both PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (only for new members). You can also gift up to five friends a free 14-day trial of PC Game Pass and, for a limited time, your friends will also get $5 to spend on the Microsoft Store.

Lastly, if you ever want to purchase entertainment content on the Microsoft store, you can save up to 65% on hundreds of select movies and TV shows including Barbie, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. Microsoft is also offering up to 50% discounts on a selection of apps that includes Adobe Photoshop Elements 2024 and the drawing app ArtRage Vitae.
