Xbox at GDC 2024

Xbox will attend the world’s largest game developer conference, GDC, when it returns to the Moscone Center in San Francisco next month.

“We are committed to supporting game developers on any platform, anywhere in the world, at every stage of development,” Xbox general manager Tammy Levine writes. “Our message is simple: Microsoft and Xbox are here to help power your games and empower your teams.”

GDC 2024 runs from March 18 to 22, and Levine says that the Xbox Lobby Lounge in the Moscone Center South will be unmissable, and an ideal place to meet and learn more about the ID@Xbox publishing program, the Developer Acceleration Program (DAP) for underrepresented creators, Azure cloud gaming services, and more.

GDC 2024 will also feature dozens of speakers from across Xbox, Activision, Blizzard, King, and Zenimax, and while you should check out the full schedule at the link above, a few of the talks stand out. Key among them All things Azure & OpenAI for Game Development and DirectX State of the Union Featuring Work Graphs and Introducing DirectSR, the latter of which will cover Microsoft’s upcoming video game upscaling feature for Windows. There are several Diablo IV sessions as well.

You can learn more at the GDC website.
