Grounded is Now Available on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch

In February, Xbox revealed it would bring four of its in-house studio games to rival consoles. Today, the third of those games, Grounded, is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 alongside a “Fully Yoked” update for all Grounded gamers, regardless of platform.

(Microsoft shipped Pentiment for PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch on February 22, and then Hi-Fi RUSH on PS5 on March 19. It plans to ship the last of its promised four games, Sea of Thieves, on PlayStation on April 30.)

Grounded was created by Obsidian Entertainment, a studio Microsoft acquired in 2018 and added to its Xbox Game Studios family. Described as a co-op survival action-adventure video game, the title was released on Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S in late 2022. The plot is fun: You and, optionally, other players are shrunk down to the size of an ant and have to survive in your suddenly dangerous suburban backyard.

With this cross-platform release, Obsidian has also shipped the “Fully Yoked” update, adding a lot of new content, features, and other updates to the game. This includes new ant queens, 12 new ant queen-inspired buildings, a “New Game+” mode that lets you remix the game after you’ve beaten it, multiplayer updates, creator improvements, and a lot more.

Grounded: Fully Yoked Edition is $39.99 on each supported platform, and it’s available via Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
