Microsoft has just revealed the first Game Pass drop for June, which includes the Octopath Traveler JRPG series and the space horror game The Callisto Protocol. You may have thought that Microsoft would wait for its Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday, June 9 to announce new Game Pass games, but maybe there will be another surprise drop during the show.
Anyway, Microsoft is continuing to bring more Japanese RPGs to its Game Pass service, and the Xbox port for the critically acclaimed Octopath Traveler II was just released yesterday. This is a day-one addition on Game Pass, while the first episode is also making a return to the library.

The Callisto Protocol is another highlight in this first wave of Game Pass games for June. The game was directed by Glen Schofield, the co-creator of the Dead Space Series, and it was actually released just a month before the Dead Space Remake (also available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate via EA Play) in January 2023.
Other Game Pass additions in June include the tabletop role-playing game Depersonalization, the WWI first-person shooter Isonzo, and the upcoming horror game Still Wakes the Deep. You can find the full list of new Game Pass games with their availability dates below:
Microsoft also detailed today the five games that will leave the Game Pass library on June 15. The list includes High on Life, Bramble: The Mountain King, Rune Factory 4 Special, Spacelines from the Far Out, and The Bookwalker. Game Pass members who want to keep playing these games can purchase them with a 20% discount.
