Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is now available across Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, PC Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Arguably the biggest Xbox release of 2024, this title offers a peek at the future of gaming with dynamically generated missions, cloud-streamed assets, and the most realistic environments seen in the series to date.
“Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is by far our most ambitious simulator to date, and we are incredibly excited for all of you–from our core sim fans to all gamers and those who want to explore the world with us–to join us on this journey,” Microsoft Flight Simulator head Jorg Neumann writes in the announcement post. “With authentic realism of all environments, aviation careers to pursue, and the ability to explore our beautiful world with various kinds of aircraft, there is something amazing for everyone in this version of the simulator.”
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is available in the following editions:
Standard Edition provides 70 aircraft and 150 upgraded airports. This is the version that Microsoft is making available via Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. It costs $69.99.
Deluxe Edition includes everything in the Standard Edition plus 10 additional aircraft and five extra airports. It costs $99.99.
Premium Deluxe includes everything in the Deluxe Edition and adds 15 more aircraft (for a total of 95). The cost is $129.99.
Aviator Edition includes everything from the Premium Deluxe Edition plus all 30 of the Microsoft-published Marketplace aircraft developed for Microsoft Flight Simulator between 2021 and 2024. The cost? $199.99.
Note that those who purchased Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) Deluxe Edition or Premium Deluxe Edition can automatically use the additional aircraft and airports unique to those editions in Flight Simulator 2024 too. And if you’re a PC gamer, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is available on Steam, too.
