Microsoft’s Xbox app for PC is adding support for the “Stream your own game” library that’s available for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members. Xbox Insiders in the PC Gaming Preview can download a new version of the app that will let them stream supported Xbox titles from the growing Stream your own game catalog.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members could already stream select games they own from Xbox consoles and the Xbox web app, so it’s natural to see the Xbox app for PC getting the same capability. “This feature includes console-only games that previously couldn’t be played using the Xbox PC app,” the Xbox team highlighted today.
To stream games they own from the Xbox app on PC, Xbox Insiders with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription will need to go to the Cloud Gaming section for the app, look for the Stream your own game catalog, then choose a supported title they own. The full list of over 250 supported games is available on this page.
“You can expect even more games including console-only games and Xbox Play Anywhere titles to be added to the collection over time. You choose how and where to play. We’re just making it easier to get there—with more flexibility, more access, and more games at your fingertips,” the Xbox team said today.
