Assassin’s Creed Mirage is headlining the first wave of games coming to the Game Pass library in August. The 2023 episode in the action-adventure video game series will become available on the service on August 7, joining the Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla episodes.
Mirage was released three years after Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and was much smaller in scale. The game is set in Baghdad during the 9th century, marking a return to the series’ stealth-action origins.
The Game Pass library will also welcome three other new games in August, starting with the survival-platform title Rain World that will become available later today. Aliens: Fireteam Elite will also come back to the service on August 12, and it will be followed by the new PC strategy game 9 Kings on August 14. The latter will launch via the Xbox Game Preview program.
Subscribers to the Game Pass Standard tier will also get access to four new games in August: Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, MechWarrior 5: Clans, and Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap. These four games were already available on the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass tiers.

Lastly, Farming Simulator 22, Persona 3 Reload, and Anthem will leave the Game Pass library on August 15. The latter will see its servers shut down on January 12, 2026 (https://www.ea.com/security/news/anthem-game-update), and it will no longer be playable after that date.
