Xbox App on PC Now Integrates Games From Other Stores

Xbox app on PC aggregated gaming library

The new aggregated gaming library in Microsoft’s Xbox app for PC is going out of beta this week. This means that the PC gamers will be able to see and launch their games installed from Steam, the Epic Games Store, Battle.net, GOG, and other launchers right from the Xbox app.

PC Games installed from any supported storefront will automatically appear in the My Library and the Most Recent sections of the Xbox PC app. However, Windows users who prefer not to see games installed from other stores within the Xbox app will be able to disable these integrations.

This new update for the Xbox app on PC also adds a new “My Apps” page where gamers can quickly launch Battle.net, Steam, and other gaming storefronts. This view will be especially handy on gaming handhelds, and Microsoft’s Edge is also accessible there.

Later this month, an upcoming update for the Xbox app will integrate cloud-enabled Xbox games into this aggregated gaming library. This will include Game Pass games that are cloud-playable, as well as owned Xbox games from the growing “Stream your own game” collection.

Lastly, the “Jump back in” list on the home screen of the app will also show recently played games across PC, Xbox consoles, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. This list, which is already available on Xbox consoles, makes it easier for gamers to pick up where they left off.
