Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and five other games will be coming on day one in Game Pass in November, but only for Ultimate and PC Game Pass members. In the US, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate recently got a 50% price increase to $29.99/month in the US, but this is apparently the price to pay to continue seeing new Call of Duty games on day one on the service.
Black Ops 7 is the direct sequel to last year’s Black Ops 6 episode, and its campaign will support co-op with up to four players. There’s also a new global progression system that will allow players to earn XP across all modes, including the campaign. Other notable updates include a new ‘Skirmish’ multiplayer mode and minor tweaks to the Black Ops 6’s Omnimovement system, with new Wall Jump and Combat Roll abilities.
This new Call of Duty game will be competing head-on with EA’s Battlefield 6, which sold a record 7 million copies in just 3 days. Black Ops 7 will undoubtedly end up as one of the biggest game launches of the year, but releasing two Black Ops episodes in a row may not be best way to maintain hype to the maximum.
The five other games coming to Game Pass on day one in November are mostly indie titles. The list includes Dead Static Drive, Egging On, Whiskerwood, Pigeon Simulator, and Winter Burrow. You can find more details about upcoming Game Pass additions below:
Microsoft also announced today that six games will leave the Game Pass library on November 15, including S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Heart of Chernobyl. The game launched as an Xbox console exclusive a year ago, but its Game Pass departure will precede its PlayStation 5 release on November 20.
The five other games that will leave Game Pass in mid-November include Blacksmith Master, Football Manager (PC and Console Editions), Frostpunk, and Spirittea. As usual, Game Pass subscribers can purchase these games with a 20% discount while they’re still in the library.
