Xbox Developer_Direct Returns on January 22 With Fable and Forza Horizon 6 Gameplay

The Xbox team has just announced a fourth edition of its Developer_Direct livestream, which will air on January 22. The event will offer an in-depth look at the upcoming Fable and Forza Horizon 6, which are both being developed by Playground Games.

We last saw Fable during the Xbox Games Showcase in June 2024, and that was a couple of months before Microsoft decided to delay the game to 2026. “Devs from the Playground team will unveil the magic and mischief that awaits players in this fresh new beginning for the franchise, including a first look at some stunning new gameplay,” the Xbox team said today.

Forza Horizon 6, the latest installment in the open world racing game series, will also get its first gameplay trailer during the event. The game is set in Japan, a first for the series, and a PlayStation 5 version has already been announced (that’s not the case for Fable yet).

Lastly, this Developer_Direct event will also have a segment dedicated to Beast of Reincarnation, a new action RPG from Japanese developer Game Freak. The game was first revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase last year, and it will be launching on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC later this year.

This fourth installment of Xbox’s Developer_Direct broadcast will be streamed at 10 AM PT / 1PM ET / 6PM UK on January 22. This will also be the first event in Xbox’s 25th anniversary year.
