Microsoft is about to introduce a new boot animation on Xbox consoles featuring the glowing green Xbox logo that the team has started using in recent weeks. Asha Sharma, the new CEO of Xbox, said that the new boot animation will launch on consoles next Wednesday.
You can see how the new boot animation compares to the current one thanks to a video from The Verge’s Tom Warren. Last week, Microsoft also made this new Xbox logo available as a dynamic background on Xbox Series X|S consoles:

Sharma previously announced that she formed a new team dedicated to shipping new console features inspired by fan feedback. Acknowledging that “Xbox needs to move faster,” the new head of Xbox also just promoted four executives from her previous CoreAI group at Microsoft to “help push us forward.” Sharma also announced that the Xbox app will soon lose its Gaming Copilot feature, and the AI assistant will no longer come to Xbox consoles.
In addition to this new Xbox boot animation, the Xbox team is also increasing the sharpness of Xbox gamerpics and certain game or achievement art on Xbox Series X consoles set to 4K output. The new change is currently being tested with Xbox Insiders on the Alpha and Skip Ahead rings.
