Starting today, Xbox fans can save big on consoles, accessories and games as part of Microsoft’s biggest-ever multi-day Black Friday sales event.
Xbox Live Gold subscribers get the biggest savings, which is a nice touch. And if you’re not an Xbox Live Gold subscriber, you can (and should) get in cheap, if only to save on other Black Friday purchases: You can buy one month of Xbox Live Gold today for just $1; the normal price is $9.99. This savings runs today, November 18, through November 28.
Once you’re hooked up with Gold, you can start looking at the other deals, which include games, consoles, and peripherals, and various time periods Note that these deals are for purchases through Microsoft Store (online or retail).
When: November 24-28
Savings: $50 off Xbox One S, plus a $25 gift code and one free game
Xbox One is $50 off during the Black Friday event starting next Monday, making this the best time ever to buy a new console or bundle. Here are a few of the coming deals:
November 20 – 23. You can save $50 on any new 1 TB Xbox One or Xbox One S.
November 24 – 28. The Xbox One S will start at just $249, its lowest price ever. All Xbox One S bundles will be on sale as well.
When: November 24-28
Savings: Up to $35 off
I don’t have any details yet on which controllers and other peripherals will be on sale starting next week, so we’ll need to check back on Thursday.
When: November 18-28 for Xbox Live Gold members, November 22-28 for others
Savings: Up to 50 percent off
Microsoft is offering deep discounts on select Xbox One games during the Black Friday event, and as always Xbox Live Gold members can buy early (starting today) and can save more than non-subscribers. Here are some examples:
Battlefield 1. Normally $59.99, Battlefield 1 is now available for as little as $40.19 (requires Xbox Live Gold), or 33 percent off.
FIFA 17. Starting today, FIFA 17 is 40 percent off for Xbox Live Gold subscribers, so it costs just $35.99.
NBA 2K17. Available now for Gold subscribers at 30 percent off, NBA 2K17 is just $41.99 at the Microsoft Store.
Overwatch. This popular shooter is now 40 percent off and costs just $35.99.
Titanfall 2. Also 40 percent off, Titanfall 2 is now just $35.99, a $15 savings off its normal $59.99 pricing. I’m tempted.
There’s more, of course. Check out Microsoft’s Black Friday page for the full list of sale games. Xbox 360 fans can save big too: There are a ton of Xbox 360 games for sale at up to 55 percent off. And Windows 10 gamers will see big discounts too, especially on Xbox Play Anywhere titles, Microsoft says.
