Logitech Announces a Portable Cloud Gaming Device

The Logitech G Cloud Gaming Handheld launches in October and will let customers stream Xbox Cloud Gaming titles from the cloud. Yes, it’s based on Android.

“Soon you’ll be able to play Grounded and Sea of Thieves, or discover your next favorite game, right in the palm of your hands using the power of the cloud on an all-new device,” Microsoft vice president Catherine Gluckstein says. “Handhelds are a natural next step in our cloud gaming evolution, and it’s great to see a world-class hardware leader like Logitech optimize Xbox Cloud Gaming for their new device.”

Details are slim, but the Logitech G Cloud Gaming Handheld offers a 7-inch Full HD 16:9 IPS multitouch display, integrated Xbox-style controls, Wi-Fi, and 12+ hours of battery life. It’s not only compatible with Xbox Cloud Gaming: you can also access your PC-based games via GeForce NOW as well. And it works with Xbox Remote Play so you can stream your full Xbox console library to the device as well.

The Logitech G Cloud Gaming Handheld will cost $349.99 but you can preorder it on sale now for $299.99.
