Microsoft Releases Final Seasonal Update for Halo: MCC

Microsoft’s 343 Industries announced that Season 8 for Halo: The Master Chief Collection (MCC) is now available. It’s billed as the final seasonal update for the game collection, though we can other updates and enhancements in the coming year too.

“Whether you feel most at home on Installation 04 or Reach, the battlegrounds of ancient Rome or a UNSC frigate, MCC Season 8 brings with it a heap of new content that lets you outfit your Spartan like never before,” 343 Industries’ Andy Salisbury writes. “Featuring uniquely themed armor sets, vehicle skins, weapon skins, back accessories, and even more, you’re going to have a lot to dive into.”

Season 8 includes 100 new tiers of content, including brand new armor sets, back accessories, vehicle skins, techsuits, and more; a Halo Online map called Icebox for custom games and matchmaking for Halo 3; in-campaign collectibles for Halo 3; updated options for Halo 3: ODST Firefight as well as Sentinels as an enemy type, Custom Game Browser (CGB) support for Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 3, and more.

Like previous seasons, Halo: MCC Season 8 is a free update for all customers across PC and console, including those on Xbox Game Pass.
