Xbox Game Pass is Coming to 8 New Countries, Adds New Games

Microsoft announced this week at gamescon 2017 that it is bringing its Xbox Game Pass offering to 8 new countries. It also revealed the seven new games it is adding to the service by September 1.

“Xbox Game Pass is part of our commitment to give you more options to diversify and expand your library of games and to discover new experiences,” Microsoft’s Parimal Deshpande writes. “We believe more is better, and each month with Xbox Game Pass, we add a new set of games to the catalog so you’ve always got something new to play.”

Microsoft launched Xbox Game Pass to 31 markets on June 1. A response toSony’s PlayStation Now service, this subscription service costs $9.99 per month and provides a library of over 100 Xbox One and Backward Compatible Xbox 360 titles from which to choose. And while it is absolutely not a “Netflix for video games” as some have claimed—you can’t stream the titles; they must be downloaded first—it is a tremendous value. Better still, it gets better each month with the addition of new games.

Sometime between August 29 and September 1, Microsoft is added seven new games to the Xbox Game Pass library: ReCore Definitive Edition, Metro: Last Light Redux, Fable II, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, 10 Second Ninja X,Hue, and The Bridge.

Also on September 1, Xbox Game Pass will be available in 8 new markets—Argentina, Brazil, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, South Africa, Turkey and UAE—upping the availability of this service to almost 40 markets in all.
