More Games with Gold for Those Cold Winter Nights

I’m a day late and a dollar short, but here’s a peek at the four free new games that Xbox Live Gold subscribers are getting this month.

Reminder: All Xbox 360 games in the Games for Gold promotion also work in Xbox One in Backward Compatibility mode too. So Xbox One users with Xbox Live Gold subscriptions are technically getting at least four free games each month.

Here’s what’s new for February.

Xbox One

Shadow Warrior
Normal price: $29.99
Free availability: February 1 to February 28

Description: Take on the role of Lo Wang, a shogun abandoned and left for dead by the corporation he used to work for. Now he must continue alone on the mission he was sent on – to retrieve a blade of unlimited power and fight demon gods from another world! Use an extensive range of weapons and magic to vanquish and banish Lo Wang’s enemies. Combine serious action with some well-placed juvenile humor and you have the recipe for a great action game.

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles – India
Normal price: $9.99
Free availability: February 16 to March 15

Description: Experience the Assassin’s Creed franchise in a whole new way in Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India. This unique take on the franchise brings the series’ epic gameplay to a 2.5D side-scroller experience. Plan wisely and solve puzzles while traversing the beautiful scenery without being discovered, obtaining new skills and items along the way.

Xbox 360

Split/Second
Normal price: $19.99
Free availability: February 1 to February 15

Description: Get behind the wheel of the fantastic action racing game Split/Second. Set within a reality television show, race through a made-for-TV city rigged to explode while blazing across racetracks as they’re set to detonate with you on them! Every lap is different, more challenging experience as the track starts to crumble due to the constant destruction of the race around you.

NOTE: At the time of this writing, Split/Second is incorrectly listed at its normal price. Microsoft tells me this will be fixed soon. –Paul

Crazy Taxi
Normal price: $9.99
Free availability: February 16 to February 28

Description: Money’s the name of the game in this taxi-ride into chaos! If you want to maximize your earnings and tips by delivering your passengers ahead of their expectations, you’ll have to bend a few laws (breaking them also may be required). Your driving skills will be put to the test as you weave and jump through traffic as you race the clock in this mad dash for cash!

Is Crazy Taxi the game that was first released in 1999?

In reply to BillB: Despite all this, Song of the Deep - the game is good, beautiful, atmospheric and for the most part fascinating. Just do not wait for her level of Aquaria . Although, if the one, like the Ecco the Dolphin series , has sunk into your soul, if you love the sea and soul stories, you simply have to try Song of the Deep - Fireboy and Watergirl. Pluses: spiritual plot; classical Metroidvania-mechanics; ability to improve abilities; a lot of treasures, secrets, closed for the time being locations, which you really want to get into; the game expressively looks and sounds. Cons: not the most convenient control; few really interesting, unusual opportunities and mysteries.

Thanks for posting this Paul. Your Xbox One X coverage has been great for me as I’m really new to Xbox and modern gaming in general.

We have the way here to have the golf clash hack online.

Pauses, like the usual "saves", there is not in principle - you can only go to the main menu and thus save the game. Add traps here and unpleasant surprises when a stone suddenly falls on you or, for example, a huge statue hits a hero passing by a sword. Playing the friv games four in the co-op, do not wait for indulgence either. Opponents in this case even more, besides in the heat of the fight you will regularly get on your own - friendly fire here acts by default for both enemies and comrades-in-arms.

With this, nothing is clear yet. Entertainment is very superficial in nature. What can be done in the long run for those who can not fly to Australia and catch Pokemon, which are found only there - is unknown. However, so far, Pokemon GO shows how video games can become the most real media. And this pulls on "amazing".

Pros: an intriguing story full of mysteries; outstanding artistic style; perfectly maintained atmosphere; set of interesting riddles. Cons: in general mechanics, as well as some situations and riddles literally repeat Limbo.
