Xbox Preview Program members should wake up to a small update this morning that adds language independence functionality and game pre-order improvements to Xbox One. News of the update comes courtesy of Microsoft’s Mike Ybarra.
As I wrote previously in First Anniversary Update Preview Starts Rolling Out on Xbox One This Week, Microsoft is delivering Windows 10 Anniversary update features to Xbox One in two waves. The first, called the Summer Update, is in testing now and should be complete by the end of the summer. So today’s update for the Preview Program is part of that Summer Update. A Fall Update will round out Anniversary update features later.

Here’s what’s new, according to Microsoft. (And thanks to MSPowerUser for getting a correct copy as Mr. Ybarra’s link was botched.)
Language independence. A big request from users, language Independence gives gamers more choices over their Xbox experience by letting them choose any supported language on the console, regardless of your location.
Improvements to game pre-orders. Now, when you pre-order a game from the console more than 10 days before its release, funds are not deducted from your chosen payment instrument immediately. If you pre-order a game within 10 days of its release, the funds will be deducted immediately, as before.
