Google’s October event is almost here. The company usually holds an event every October to showcase new products as part of its Made by Google brand. This year, the event is happening on October 15th in New York City. The company just sent out invites for the event, which doesn’t give away much.

“Come see a few new things Made by Google”, says the invite, with an interesting graphic on top. Google is expected to announce a bunch of new products, including the new Pixel 4 line. Both the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL devices are expected to arrive at the event, and we already know quite a lot of details about the device. Thanks to the recently leaked hands-on videos of the devices, we know a lot about some of the important features of the device, including the specs, the face unlock feature, the motion sensor feature, as well as things like Smooth Display.

Google is also expected to introduce new Google Home speakers, including a new Nest Mini speaker that’s expected to feature a built-in wall mount and improved sound quality.

The company might also have new Pixel laptops, including the new Pixelbook 2. Google’s October 15 hardware event will be live-streamed, at 1PM ET (3PM GMT):

Can't wait for the inevitable rollercoaster ride of emotions from Paul. :P

Agreed...we've not seen his review of the Note 10+ yet but I can almost bet he is going to return it for the Pixel 4 XL due to the less than stellar camera. I could be wrong but if he is like me, I love the Note 10+ as a phone but the camera is still way behind the Pixel.

    A couple of things:

    1. Congrats to Medhi for finally addressing what Google really is.....a "company" and not a "firm." For years (literally!!!) years, Thurrott and then Medhi were calling large corporations like Microsoft and Google, "firms." It causes me to do a lot of head shaking (lol).
    2. I am going to give some really good and priceless advice. DO NOT PURCHASE THE NEW PIXEL 4 XL right away. DO NOT. The best time (absolute best time) to do so is Black Friday. FYI....that is when I bought my whole family their Pixel 3 XLs at about $450 each. You know what's funny? It's been almost a year and I have had NO PROBLEMS with it. None, whatsoever. Come to think of it, I recommended the Pixel 3 XL to several of my colleagues and I am not hearing any complaints from them either. Oh well.

Do they offer deals on just the phone? I've seen some of the carriers offer deals but I never paid attention to whether or not I could just buy the phone at a discount. That's a great tip.

I have a Pixel 3a. I don't do much on my phone besides text people and use the camera, along with a small handful of utility apps for my bank and similar things. I feel like the 3a is the perfect device for people like me; I'm wondering if Google will repeat this for the Pixel 4... A multi-lens Pixel 4a would be awesome, though the 3a's camera is still fantastic.
