Google has just fully revealed the Pixel 10a, the latest entry-level phone in the Pixel family that will launch on March 5 for $499. The Pixel 10a features the same Tensor G4 chip as last year’s Pixel 9a, but it offers a slightly better display, faster charging, and Satellite SOS connectivity.
Overall, the Google Pixel 10a looks a lot like the Pixel 9a from 2025, with the same camera bar and “completely flat back.” The phone features a recycled aluminium frame with a satin finish, and the plastic back cover is available in Lavender, Berry, Fog and Obsidian colors.
Google says that the Pixel 10a is its “most durable A-series phone yet” with an upgraded Corning Gorilla Glass 7i cover glass and IP68 water and dust protection. The Pixel 10a’s 6.3-inch Actua display is also 11% brighter than last year’s model.
Under the hood, the Pixel 10a comes with last year’s Google Tensor G4 chip, a 5100 mAh battery with a new Fast Charging technology (up to 50% in about 30 minutes), 8GB of memory, and either 128GB or 256GB of storage. The dual rear camera system still features a 48MP wide sensor and a 13MP sensor, but Google’s AI-powered Auto Best Take and Camera Coach tools are now available on this model.
Besides the addition of Satellite SOS connectivity for contacting emergency services without Wi-Fi or cellular service, the Pixel 10a adds Bluetooth 6.0 support with antenna diversity for enhanced quality and connection. Google also still offers 7 years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates, with new AI feature sand Gemini updates coming at a regular pace.
You can pre-order the Pixel 10a today at the Google Store and major carriers ahead of its release on March 5. The base model with 128GB of storage is priced at $499, and Google will also offer cases in the same Lavender, Berry, Fog and Obsidian colors. Lastly, the company is making its Pixel Buds 2a available in two new colors, Berry and Fog.
