Here are some product shots from today’s Next@Acer event, which was held at the Duggal Greenhouse in Brooklyn, NY.

Apologies for the lack of descriptions: I’m fighting time, battery life, and crowds as I write this.

What is going on with that Acer Predator laptop with the full on Predator mask coming out of the screen?! Is that a purchasable product, some kind of limited edition, or what?

I’m a little annoyed that I wasn’t notified before someone contacted my 4-year-old son to consult on gaming laptop design.

I just want someone (like an Acer, Dell, etc.) to make a credible Android Laptop already. I know that I am not crazy…there IS a market for this. ChromeOS is simply too much OS for many people…and iPads shouldn't be the ONLY the option available for grandma to comfortably "compute". Samsung does makes a credible option, but they cruft everything up so much and never include a touch-pad.

I threw up in my mouth a little bit seeing the back of that Predator laptop. That's the most hideous laptop I've ever seen.

The ConceptD desktop looks very interesting. But the price! I think, I'd be the victim of spousal abuse if I rolled up with one of those under my arm!
