Details on Samsung’s S10 Lite and Note10 Lite Devices Leak

Samsung is expected to start off 2020 with the launch of two new handsets. Although the company usually launches new generations of its Galaxy S line in around February/March, it’s actually going to launch some new devices part of the current generation just before that.

The company is working on a new Galaxy S10 Lite and a Note10 Lite device, both of which are expected to be revealed sometime in January.

The folks at WinFuture got their hands-on the official detail sheets for the devices, which reveal most of the inner specs on these products. Let’s take a look at the Galaxy Note10 Lite first:

 • 6.7-inch SuperAMOLED display, resolution of 2400×1800 pixels.
 • Octa-core Exynos 9810 SoC, clocked at 2.7GHz, which was first seen on the Galaxy S9.
 • 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
 • Triple-camera setup, with one 12MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture, a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2, and a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and f/2.4. 32MP front camera for selfies.
 • 4500mAh battery (yes, that’s larger than the regular Note 10).
 • Starts at 609 Euros.

And then there’s the upcoming Galaxy S10 Lite:

 • 6.7-inch SumerAMOLED display with a resolution of 2400×1800 pixels.
 • Octa-core Snapdragon 855 processor, clocked at 2.84GHz. Unlike the other Galaxy S10 variants, Samsung will ship the S10 Lite with a Snapdragon processor in Europe, instead of the usual Exynos processors.
 • 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
 • Triple-camera setup: 48MP sensor with f/20 aperture and OIS, 12MP ultra-wide angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and another 5MP camera with f/2.4 aperture. A 32MP front camera for selfies on the front.
 • Like the Note10 Lite, the S10 Lite features a 4500mAh battery.
 • The device is expected to cost more than the Note10 Lite, starting at 679.99 Euros.

It’s not clear exactly when Samsung plans to launch these new devices, but it’s likely we will see an official announcement sometime in early January, possibly at CES.

It'd be nice to see how these compare to their non-LITE counterparts in terms of camera, general phone speed (where they're probably good enough) and battery life

So what is so lite about the S10 lite compared to the S10? Not seeing many differences off the bat.
