Microsoft Launches a Back-to-School Sale

Microsoft has launched its annual back-to-school sale, but this one comes with a twist: it will run for two months, through September 11.

“With summer in full swing, students and parents are preparing to kick off back-to-school shopping to get ready for the exciting year ahead,” the Microsoft Store team writes in the announcement post. “To help families breeze through shopping with confidence, Microsoft Store is offering back-to-school savings—starting July 11 through September 11—including discounted laptops, PCs, and accessories, all supported by an extended price promise and return window.”

Some key savings include:

Save up to 50 percent on select Windows 11 PCs. Families and students can choose from a variety of Windows 11 PCs, with the full list available here. This offer ends July 18.

Save up to $300 on the Surface Pro 8 and Surface Pro Keyboard Bundle. The Surface Pro 8 and Surface Pro Keyboard Bundle is available for $200 to $300 off depending on the configuration, so prices start at just $900 during the sale. You can learn more here. This offer ends August 21.

Save up to $300 on select Surface Laptop 4 models. Surface Laptop 4 is available at $300 off. Offer ends July 24.

Save up to 30 percent off select Microsoft PC accessories. Select Microsoft accessories, including the Microsoft Bluetooth Ergonomic Mouse, are now available for up to 30 percent off. Offer ends July 31.

Save $125 on the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay Portal Headset. Various gaming headphones are on sale, including the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay Portal Headset, which provides Dolby Atmos virtualized surround sound for an immersive gaming experience. Offer ends July 31.

    Paul given the supply chain challenges and chip shortages when do you see Microsoft announcing, and releasing new hardware such as Surface Laptop 5? Is the September October timeframe likely?
