Intel Ships the First 6 GHz CPU

Intel announced the availability of a new high-end version of its 13th Gen Core processor family, the Core i9-13900KS, the first stock processor to hit the 6 GHz speeds.

In addition to being the first processor to hit 6 GHz without overclocking, the Core i9-13900KS provides a total of 24 cores—8 Performance-cores and 16 Efficient-cores—Adaptive Boost Technology for improved gaming performance, support for up to DDR5 5600 MT/s RAM, and compatibility with Z790 and Z690 motherboards.

The Intel Core i9-12900KS ships today for $699.
