Samsung Announces Unpacked Event on January 22

Samsung announced today that it will hold its next Unpacked event in San Jose on January 22. In the announcement, the company teased the reveal of the Galaxy S25 series and the next generation of Galaxy AI.

“Get ready for AI that is more natural and intuitive. The next evolution of Galaxy AI is coming and it’s going to change the way you interact with the world every day. The new Galaxy S series is about to set the bar once again for mobile AI experiences now and into the future,” the company said today.

Last year’s Galaxy S24 series included three models, the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra. Samsung will likely stick with this formula this year and offer seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates for its latest flagship smartphone series.

As for Galaxy AI, it currently offers several AI-powered features on high-end Galaxy smartphones and tablets including live translations, content summarization, and photo editing features. While many of these intelligent features run on-device, Samsung also includes cloud-based features such as Circle to Search with Google into Galaxy AI.

Samsung’s upcoming Unpacked event will kick off at 10 AM PT/ 1 PM ET on January 22 and will be live-streamed on Samsung’s YouTube channel. For a limited time, Samsung also invites early enthusiasts to reserve its upcoming Galaxy devices to get a $50 Samsung Credit and up to $1,250 in additional savings when trading in an eligible device.
