BOOX Announces Three New E-Ink Android Devices

BOOX has established a nice niche for itself with its e-ink tablets and devices, and it has some solid updates this week.

“BOOX, a leader in E-Ink electronics, today announced three new devices, the Note Air6 C, a 10.3-inch color E-Ink notebook built to carry a full workflow; the Note Mini C, a compact 8.52-inch color notebook designed for one-handed use; and the Palma 3, a palm-sized reader with a refined aluminum build.”

All three devices run Android 16 and include the Google Play Store for installing apps. Each also includes an upgraded octa-core processor and the BOOX BSR refresh technology that provides a smoother, lower-latency experience with its e-ink screens.

Here’s what’s new.

Note Air6 C. This is a 10.3-inch all-in-one color e-ink notebook with a 4 nm octa-core processor, 6 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage with microSD expansion, a 3700 mAh battery, a 4096-color, 300 ppi, and anti-glare Kaleido 3 display panel, a bundled BOOX Pen3 stylus, and an integrated keyboard folio. It costs $580 and is available now in Umber or Graphite.

Note Mini C. This 8.52-inch color e-ink mini-tablet offers the same specs as the Note Air6 C in a more compact form factor and with an orange magnetic folio case. It has a 3150 mAh battery, a fingerprint reader in the power button, and dual speakers and it will be available soon for $580.

Palma 3. This phone-sized black and white e-ink-based device features a 6.13-inch display with a dual-tone front light and an ambient light sensor, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage with microSD, a 16 MP rear camera, and a 3950 mAh battery. It’s available now for $340 in black and white.
