Intel reports that it earned a net income of $3.3 billion on revenues of $16.5 billion in the quarter ending September 26, 2026. Those figures represent a decline of 18 percent and a gain of 21 percent, respectively, year-over-year.

“Our Q3 results demonstrate improving execution, meaningful progress expanding supply, and continued advancement of our process technology,” Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan said. “Despite near-term headwinds across the PC industry, demand for our CPUs remains robust, reinforcing our confidence in the long-term growth opportunities for our business.”

Intel’s Client Computing and Physical AI Group (CCPG) delivered $8.1 billion in revenues, down 5 percent YOY. Intel says that the PC market will decline 26 percent in 2026 and then another 10 percent next year. It expects the PC market downturn to continue through at least the first half of 2027.

Intel’s Data Center and AI (DCAI) group wasn’t far behind, with $7.3 billion in revenues, up 78 percent YOY. Intel Foundry also delivered $6.7 billion in revenues, a decline of 58 percent YOY, though those earnings aren’t included in Intel’s broader financials.

Intel stock tumbled 15 percent in after-hours trading because the company missed expectations for the quarter.

“Our immediate priority is to unlock additional supply to meet extraordinary demand for our Xeon family, while strengthening our product portfolio and roadmap,” Lip-Bu Tan added. “We are moving with urgency and focus to capitalize on these opportunities to deliver sustainable growth and long-term shareholder value.”
