Microsoft is improving its Rewards program with new features inspired by user feedback. The Daily offers have now been expanded to over 230+ countries, and users can now protect their daily streaks with Streak Restore and a temporary Streak Protection.
“We’ve heard from our members that they love daily streak bonuses, so the program will continue to reward you for completing your daily set of activities and give bonus points for those long streaks,” the team said today. “We also have two new features to help ensure members don’t lose their hard-earned streaks.
With Streak Restore, Microsoft Rewards members who accidentally missed a daily streak after being active every day for more than 100 days will now be able to restore it once a month. However, they will need to wait 60 days before being able to restore their streak once again.
To restore a streak, Microsoft Rewards members will need to go to rewards.microsoft.com/support, fill the form by selecting “Earning points” as the main category, and then pick up “Broken Streak” as the subcategory. You can see how this works in the video below.
The other way to protect daily streaks is Streak Protection, which will protect ongoing streaks for up to 14 days per calendar year. The Streak Protection toggle will appear on the Rewards dashboard right above the Daily Set, and this feature should be particularly useful for members planning to disconnect from the Internet during a vacation.
Microsoft has also teamed up with Duolingo to offer 3 free months of Super Duolingo to Microsoft Rewards members when they search with Microsoft Bing on Edge for 3 days. The company is also now allowing members in over 200 markets to donate their Rewards points to select charities.
