Microsoft’s Build 2025 Session Catalog is Now Available

Microsoft Build 2025

The full session catalog for Microsoft’s Build 2025 developer conference, which will be held in Seattle on May 19-22, is now live on the company’s website. There are currently 225 listed sessions, and AI is once again one of the main themes, surprising no one.

Microsoft launched several AI agents in recent weeks, and “agentic AI” is going to be a big topic this year. I saw one session titled “Reimagining Software Development and DevOps with Agentic AI,” and another one titled ”Build Microsoft Teams collaborative agents as virtual colleagues with Visual Studio Code.”

Several sessions will also focus on-device AI for developers interested in adding new AI features to their apps and span AI workloads across the CPU/GPU/NPU. There’s one session titled “Infuse a Windows app with local AI features through WinAppSDK.” I saw another one titled “Bring your own model to Windows using Windows Copilot Runtime,” which will focus on building AI experiences into Windows apps using open source models or other models trained by developers themselves.

Obviously, you can’t talk about on-device AI without mentioning Copilot+ PCs, and that will be the topic of a session titled “Unleashing on-device AI with Snapdragon X Series.” I also spotted another session about “Tips & tricks to enhance Windows Arm64 App performance,” and it’s true that most developers are not going to spend resources to optimize their apps for ARM-based PC if the user base isn’t there.

While the Build 2025 digital experience will once again be free, developers who want to attend the event in Seattle can save $400 on tickets through April 16, 2025. You can register for the online or in-person experience on this page.
