Samsung to Launch New Flagships on August 5

Samsung revealed via email last night that it will host its next “Unpacked” event virtually on August 5. The firm is expected to unveil three new flagship smartphones at this event:

 • Galaxy Note 20, which will likely ship with three different models, the Note 20, the Note 20 Plus, and the Note 20 Ultra.
 • Galaxy Fold 2, a follow-up to the unreliable first version.
 • Galaxy Z Flip, a follow-up to the original Galaxy Flip.

Reportedly, each of these handsets will be powered by the as-yet-unannounced Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus SoC, which, like its Plus-branded predecessors, should be a slightly faster version of the original chipset.

Samsung will stream its Unpacked event live starting at 10 am ET on August 5.

I really like the Note. The only thing keeping me from using it day to day is the camera. The Note 10+'s camera was good, quite good at times, but still ended up disappointing so I go back to the Pixel. If the camera is improved, I just may finally jump ship to go along with Samsung's decent ecosystem of devices, accessories and services like the Galaxy Watch, Tab S Series of Tablet, Dex, Built in Windows integration, Galaxy Buds, Samsung Health, Samsung Pay, Gear 360 camera (still very underrated device), charging pads and cases.
