OnePlus 11 to Launch in the US on February 16, OnePlus Tablet Also Announced

OnePlus announced today the pricing details and international release date for its new OnePlus 11 flagship phone, which previously launched in China last month. The OnePlus 11 comes with a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED display with a dynamic refresh rate, a triple rear camera system, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC under the hood.

According to OnePlus, the OnePlus 11 5G’s camera system that’s co-developed with Swedish camera manufacturer Hasselblad delivers “industry-leading color science”. On the back of the device, there’s a main 50MP sensor with optical image stabilization, a 48MP ultra-wide sensor, and a portrait Tele sensor with 2x optical zoom. The three rear sensors are completed by a 16MP selfie camera on the front.

Other notable features of the OnePlus 11 5G include a 5000mAh battery that can be charged to 100% in just 25 minutes. The device also comes with OxygenOS 13 and OnePlus promises four major Android updates and five years of security updates.

In the US, the OnePlus 11 will start at $699 for the base model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and $799 for the model with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The OnePlus 11 is available for pre-order today and it will start shipping internationally on February 16.

OnePlus also unveiled its first tablet today, the OnePlus Pad. It will come with an 11.6-inch 144Hz display with a pretty rare 7:5 aspect ratio. OnePlus says that this ‘ReadFit’ ratio “maximizes readability and tactile comfort,” and the 2800×2000 display will also support 500 nits of brightness.

The aluminum body of the OnePlus Pad is 6.54mm thin and weighs 555G. There are four speakers underneath that support Dolby Atmos (the display also supports Dolby Vision), and the 9510mAh battery of the OnePlus Pad can be fully recharged in 60 minutes.

The main specs of the tablet include a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC with 8 CPU Cores and up to 12 GB of RAM, but OnePlus didn’t share details about the cameras and storage options today. The OnePlus Pad will also be compatible with an upcoming OnePlus Magnetic Keyboard with a built-in trackpad and a OnePlus Stylo.

Pre-orders for the OnePlus Tab will open in April, but pricing details for OnePlus’ first tablet are still unknown. OnePlus did contribute to popularizing more affordable flagship Android phones a couple of years ago, and it will be interesting to see if the OnePlus Pad can bring something new to the less exciting Android tablet market.
