Huawei Mate 10 Pro is $100 Off this Week

Huawei’s excellent Mate 10 Pro is $100 off at participating retailers now through March 24. This flagship-class handset was already right-priced at $800, but this $100 savings could put it over the top for many.

Here are the purchase links. (The Amazon one is an affiliate link, thank you for using it.)

The Huawei Mate 10 Pro is available in three colors—Diamond Black, Midnight Blue, and Titanium Gray—and it comes unlocked, and can be used on any GSM carriers (meaning AT&T and T-Mobile in the U.S.) It features flagship-class specifications that should meet just about any need, including:

Kirin 970 AI processor. Most benchmarks place this processor on-par with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835.

Memory. 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.

Tall, thin display and form factor. Like other modern flagships, the Mate 10 Pro features a 6-inch 18:9 display. This one is AMOLED with HDR10 capabilities, however, and features a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels, or 402 ppi.

Leica dual camera system. Like other flagships, the Mate 10 Pro features dual rear cameras, in this case, both 12 MP units with an aperture of f/1.6.

Huge battery. The Mate 10 Pro’s 4000 mAh battery surpasses most smartphones today. By comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S9+’s battery is just 3500 mAh.

You can check out my first impressions article for more information. My review of the Huawei Mate 10 Pro will be available this week.

It's impossible to recommend this phone when the OnePlus 5T is hundreds less, even after this discount. It's unbelievable how much cleaner and faster OnePlus's software is, and OnePlus is more reliable when it comes to update than Huawei (all Android OEMs are bad, but OnePlus is among the least bad). Also, the OnePlus 5T has a headset jack, which should not be a noteworthy feature but it has become one. If the Mate 10 Pro we priced around $500 (like Huawei's own very similar Honor View 10), then it might be worth a look. Even then, the OnePlus would still a more appealing option.

In reply to MikeCerm:

Take a look at the Honor View 10, with many of the same specs (including the processor) at $499. I've been going back and forth between it and the OnePlus 5T, and at this point it comes down to whether the 5T is in stock when I'm ready to purchase.

Excellent indeed. I grabbed it for € 499 at Saturn in Germany two weeks ago and I'm impressed with camera/processing especially when shooting from the hip, battery runtime and ui which in certain aspects is reminiscent of Windows Phone. The reception is excellent, too.

Aan extremely solid package.
