As you may know, Google improves the Pixel user experience every few months with Feature Drops that add new and improved functionality. Today, Google revealed the latest Pixel Drop, which adds new features to all supported Pixel handsets.

“The best part of your Pixel is that it keeps getting even more helpful, and even more unique,” Google’s Shenaz Zack writes in the announcement post. “With regular updates, Pixels get smarter, more capable, and more fun. This latest drop is no exception, and [it] includes the ability to easily access and share audio recordings, a new way to use the Pixel Camera app underwater, and new wallpapers to celebrate International Women’s Day.”

Here’s the complete list:

Recorder improvements. The Recorder app lets Pixel users record, transcribe (in English), and search recordings for specific moments. But now the app also lets you share links to your Recorder audio files, so anyone can hear them, even non-Pixel owners. You can find your Recorder transcripts and recordings at

Undersea photos and videos. Thanks to new integration with the Kraken Sports Universal Smart Phone Housing, Pixel owners can now capture underwater content using Night Sight, Portrait Mode, Motion Photos, and video. You can learn more here.

Smart Compose in messaging apps. Google’s Smart Compose feature uses machine learning to help you complete sentences as you type, and now the feature is available in select third-party messaging apps on Pixel. This feature is currently available only in the U.S. in English. You can learn more here.

New wallpapers. In celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8, Pixel owners will get new wallpapers illustrated by Spanish duo Cachetejack, which focus on the strength and transformation of women.

Pixel Stand improvements. When you use the bedtime features in Clock with a Pixel Stand, you will see a new, updated bedtime screen and redesigned notifications. This feature is only available on Pixel phones with wireless charging capabilities, so Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, and Pixel 5.
