Google today delivered the April 2023 Pixel Update for all supported devices running Android 13.
“We have provided the monthly software update for April 2023,” a message to the Google Support website notes. “All supported Pixel devices running Android 13 will receive these software updates starting today. The rollout will continue over the next week in phases depending on carrier and device. Users will receive a notification once the OTA [over-the-air update] is available for their device. We encourage you to check your Android version and update to receive the latest software.”
The April 2023 update includes autofocus improvements while using macro mode on Pixel 7 series devices, a fix for an issue that occasionally caused connected Bluetooth devices or accessories to silently unpair, and a fix for an issue that occasionally caused instability while using certain USB devices or accessories on Pixel 6 series and Pixel 7 series devices. It also fixes numerous security bugs.
The April 2023 Pixel Update is available now for Pixel 4a, 4a (5G), 5, 5a (5G), 6, 6 Pro, 6a, 7, and 7 Pro. You can download and install it immediately by opening Android Settings and navigating to System > System update. It was about 41 MB on my Pixel 7 Pro.
