Samsung to Hold Next Galaxy Unpacked Event on July 26

Samsung announced that it will host its next live event, Galaxy Unpacked 2023, on July 26, 2023 in Seoul, Korea. The company is expected to announce the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5, but it’s reasonable to expect other new Galaxy-branded accessories as well.

“A new cultural driver is coming,” the Samsung invitation claims. “Come along on our journey to discover an all-new Galaxy as we showcase our latest technologies designed to open possibilities and transform lives. It’s going to make you want to Join the flip side.”

Galaxy Unpacked 2023 will be the first Unpacked that Samsung will host in its home country, but it’s also happening almost a month earlier than usual: this event, which used to focus on the Note phablet family but now centers on the company’s folding smartphones, is usually held in August.

Contrary to reports I’ve seen, you cannot already preorder the folding smartphones it will announce then. Instead, you can make a reservation with Samsung to get a $50 Samsung credit an exclusive offer when you actually pre-order one of the devices. It’s like a preorder for a preorder.

Samsung Unpacked 2023 will be live-streamed on Samsung’s website and YouTube on July 26, 2023 at 7:00 a.m. ET (4:00 a.m. PT). Those interested in reserving a pre-order (seriously, Samsung) can do so via the Samsung website or, God help you, the Shop Samsung mobile app.
