Apple today announced Apple Sports, a free new iPhone app that delivers real-time scores, stats, and a personalized experience. You know, like any sports app.
“We created Apple Sports to give sports fans what they want — an app that delivers incredibly fast access to scores and stats,” Apple senior vice president of Services Eddy Cue said. “Apple Sports is available for free in the App Store, and makes it easy for users to stay up to date with their favorite teams and leagues.”

Apple Sports lets users customize their scoreboards by following favorite teams, tournaments, and leagues. It offers play-by-play information, team stats, lineup details, and live betting odds (ugh). And it integrates with the Apple TV app so you watch live games from Apple or other streaming apps. It also syncs with favorites in the Apple TV app and Apple News. There’s no word on dedicated iPad or Apple TV apps.
Apple Sports supports multiple leagues in-season, including MLB, NFL, NCAAF, NWSL, WNBA, MLS, NBA, NCAA basketball (men and women), NHL, Bundesliga, LaLiga, Liga MX, Ligue 1, Premier League, and Serie A, and it’s available now in the U.S., the UK, and Canada, in English (and French and Spanish where available). It requires iOS 17.2 or later.
