Microsoft Issues New Updates for Surface Book, Surface Pro 4

If you own a Surface Book or Surface Pro 4, it’s time to head over to Windows Update and see what’s happening: Microsoft has issued new firmware updates for both machines.

Typically, we find out about these updates from the Surface Update History website. But in a strange reversal of the norm, Microsoft’s Surface Blog for IT Pros—which usually trails the update releases by weeks—has the news first.

Anyone with Surface Book notice that post-update, the Surface NVM Express Controller driver doesn't appear in their Update History list and the driver (via Device Manager) doesn't get updated to v11.0.0.1 but remains on 10.0.14393.206?

For me, it seems that MS has enabled hibernation in 15 minutes while on battery. I've set is to "never" in the advanced sleep settings but cannot bypass this hibernation. Does has anyone else noticed this?

I have been using surface pro 4 for 8 months. For two months it was sitting in my suitcase (am travelling) and I did not use it all. Yesterday I tried to use and found type cover keyborad is not working / responding at all. I tried all – restarting with holding that/ this button, cleaning up keyboard, display – all. Even did a restore. But nothing helped. So thought keyboard is dead and wanted to buy a new one. When I went to the mall, technician (instead of selling a new one) took a look at my unit and tried my keyboard with a SP4 on showcase, my keyboard is working fine. Then he checked my SP4 another keyboard – that did not work. Then he told me – drivers are not updated, and that hardware is fine. I came home, did all the updates – but the problem remains. Now I am flying out to another place where no malls or support can be accessed. Also, my SP4 is not booting from USB at all. The bootable USB is working fine on other laptops. What to do? any help? Is it a possibility that SP4 connectors are damaged? But really it was inside a suitcase, type cover keyboard attached to it all the time.

I would really appreciate for any guidance.
