Microsoft Delivers Starbucks App for Windows 10 Mobile

Microsoft announced today that the Starbucks app for Windows 10 Mobile is now available in the U.S., UK and Canada.

“The Starbucks app for Windows 10 Mobile allows customers to use their Windows phone to pay at more than 7.500 Starbucks stores, no wallet necessary,” Microsoft’s Mollie Ruiz-Hopper explains. “Starbucks customers can also use the app to manage your registered Starbucks Cards, locate a Starbucks near you and send an eGift, all using your mobile device.”

tips

Leave a digital tip At company-operated Starbucks stores in the U.S. and Canada only, you can optionally leave a digital tip on purchases made with the app.

Participate in the Starbucks Rewards loyalty program. The app lets you collect and track your Stars with the Starbucks Rewards loyalty program.

How does this compare to the Starbucks app on Android or iPhone? No idea. Why release this on Windows 10 Mobile now? Ditto.

You can download Starbucks for Windows 10 Mobile from the Windows Store. Note that this app must be installed to the system drive, and not external storage.
