Hulu’s Live TV Offering Comes to the PlayStation 4

Hulu is making its live TV service available on the PlayStation 4 this week. The company’s Hulu with Live TV service, which is simply called Hulu + Live TV, can now be accessed from the PlayStation 4.

The service, which costs $54.99/month, gives users access to live TV broadcasts, as well as an ad-free Hulu subscription. Hulu + Live TV is joining YouTube TV on the PlayStation 4 as the only live TV services.

That’s because Sony did not allow other third-party live TV subscription services to be available on the PlayStation 4 in the past. The reason being, of course, PlayStation Vue — Sony’s own live TV subscription service. And as you may know, Sony is shutting down PlayStation Vue due to the expensive cost of network and content deals. And so, the company started letting in other services, with YouTube TV launching on the PlayStation 4 back in January.

You can get Hulu from the PlayStation Store here.

Hulu (No Ads) + Live TV is actually $60.99/month. The $54.99/month is for regular Hulu (with ads) plus live TV. That said, if you already have regular Hulu (with or without ads), adding Live TV through Hulu is usually cheaper than buying Live TV from other service (like YouTube TV) in addition to regular Hulu. Or save even more by doing what we did and dropping Live TV altogether.
