Here’s a look at what’s new.

From photos to art. Using Adobe’s Sensei AI capabilities, Photoshop Elements 2022 can transform photos into art with just one click. You can choose from multiple artistic effects, each based on famous works of art, and do so to an entire photo or just a selection.

Animated photos. Photoshop Elements 2022 can also add moving overlays like snowflakes, hearts, and sparkles to photos to create an animated photo that can be saved as an MP4 video file and shared on social media or a holiday e-card.

Photo combining and warping. Using Adobe Sensai AI technology, Photoshop Elements 2022 can be used to place one photo inside of another and then wrap it around an object. For example, you can place photos inside of the lens of a pair of sunglasses in another photo.

Extend photo backgrounds. Now, you can make wider, landscape-style versions of photos in Photoshop Elements 2022 by automatically extending its background using Content-Aware Fill technology.

New slideshow styles. Photoshop Elements 2022 adds new animated slideshow templates in a range of styles.

Social media-friendly aspect ratios. Premiere Elements 2022 can edit and export to social media-friendly aspect ratios, including 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:5, and more so that you don’t lose content when posting online. These non-horizontal videos also natively support motion titles, mattes, and backgrounds too.

Subject auto-reframe. Using Adobe Senai AI technology, Premiere Elements 2022 can automatically reframe your subject as you move between all supported aspect ratios.

Animated overlays. Premiere Elements 2022 can add moving butterflies, encircling hearts, and other animations to videos.

Shadows and highlight adjustment. Premiere Elements 2022 now supports the photo editor-like ability to adjust shadows and highlights in videos so that you can get the best possible visual quality.

Guided Edits. There are now 87 Guided Edits across both products, including one specifically designed for cats, dogs, and other pets.

More. Both products were refreshed with improved navigation, and the Organizer app that is common to both now supports the ability to view animated GIFs in place with a single click. Each also now updates automatically in the background without any need to deal with prompts and dialogs.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 2022 and Premiere Elements 2022 cost $99.99 each, and you can buy both in a bundle for $149.99. Upgrades start at $79.99, and there is a student and teacher version of the bundle available for $79.99. You can learn more about Adobe Photoshop Elements 2022 and Premiere Elements 2022 from the Adobe website.

I will be reviewing both products soon as well.
