Spotify is making daylist, its personalized and ever-changing playlist available globally for Free and Premium users. The playlist launched a year ago in select markets, and the company says it quickly became a popular feature among Spotify users.
“From sunup to sundown, Spotify’s daylist serves up an ever-changing playlist of songs that match your mood as it evolves throughout the day. Since launching a year ago, it has erupted as a fan-favorite feature that listeners keep coming back to. In fact, 70% of daylist users tune in week after week, millions of listeners stream it every day, and it has emerged as one of the most popular Spotify features that drives discovery,” the company said today.
In addition to making daylist available globally, Spotify also made the playlist’s unique titles available in more languages including Arabic, Catalan, French French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, and Turkish. These personalized titles also change throughout the day as daylist gets refreshed.
Spotify users can access their own dailylist playlist on spotify.com/daylist, but it will also appear in search results. Users can share their personalized playlist with others, and when doing so on mobile, the Spotify app will also automatically create a selection of custom sharecards that are optimized for social media.
If you use Spotify and haven’t tried daylist yet, the playlist seems to be a nice complement to the existing Discover Weekly playlist that updates every Monday. Spotify’s algorithm generally provides solid music suggestions, and daylist is designed to suggest music that you may want to listen to during particular moments of the day.
