Apple TV+ is Now Available on Amazon Prime Video in Australia, Canada, and the UK

Apple TV+ is now available as an add-on channel for Amazon Prime Video users in Australia, Canada, and the UK. Apple’s premium streaming service was previously made available for Prime Video users in the US in October, where it joined other Prime Video channels such as Paramount+, HBO Max, and Discovery+.

“Viewers in the U.S. have been loving the ability to subscribe to Apple TV+ on Prime Video and we’re pleased to now launch this offering in Australia, Canada and the U.K.,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s SVP of Services to Deadline.

Apple TV+ is priced at £8.99/month in the UK and $12.99/month in Australia and Canada, and subscribing to the service via Prime Video adds no extra cost. This is mostly about convenience: The Prime Video app is more ubiquitous, and most smart TV remotes today come with a dedicated Prime Video button.

Just like Amazon, Apple is also trying to aggregate other streaming services on its Apple TV app, but Amazon is currently better positioned to do that with over 200 million monthly viewers on Prime Video. The Apple TV app may well be available on the web, most smart TV platforms, and Xbox and PlayStation consoles, but there’s still no native app for Android users, which is quite a strange omission in 2024.
