Spotify is starting to roll out new playlist editing features and other updates inspired by fan feedback. First of all, the ability to organize playlists into folders, which has been available on the desktop for quite some time, is now available for all mobile users.
Next, mobile users can now select multiple items in a playlist and move them around or remove them. These new bulk actions work for music tracks, books, and podcast episodes in a playlist.
There are also a couple of new features for Spotify Premium users, starting with the ability to select multiple songs in the play queue and move them to the top or remove them from the list. The new ‘Reshuffle’ button will also change the order of songs in a playlist in just one tap.

For iPhone users, the Spotify for iOS app is also adding support for background downloads. Again, this is only available with a Premium subscription.
If you missed it earlier this week, Spotify also made a selection of narrated magazine articles available for Premium users as part of their monthly audiobook listening quota. The streaming platform is also now allowing podcast listeners to create and share clips of their favorite episodes.
