Sonos Announces Era 300 and 100 Smart Speakers

Smart speaker pioneer Sonos today announced the stunning Era 300 and Eera 100 next-generation smart speakers.

The Era 300 replaces the Sonos Five as the company’s flagship product, and it combines a stunning new design with Dolby Atmos functionality for immersive sound in one- or two-speaker configurations. It also offers USB-C line-in and Bluetooth capabilities. The Era 300 arrives on March 28 and retails for $449.

The smaller Era 100 replaces the Sonos One and One SL, though the firm is keeping those other products in the market for now. It has a more familiar design but features next-generation acoustics and USB-C line-in and Bluetooth capabilities. The Era 100 also arrives on March 28 and retails for $249.

Both Era smart speakers are more future-proof than most previous Sonos products thanks to line-in and Bluetooth compatibility. Both are most sustainable thanks to their use of post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic and 100 percent sustainably sourced paper packaging. And both are more easily repairable, with standard screws and less adhesive use.
