Sonos Makes Its App Improvement and Bug Tracker Available to the Public

In yet another move aimed at appeasing its outraged user base, Sonos today published its app improvement and bug tracker to-do list publicly so everyone can see what it’s working on. But it’s even less detailed than the schedule the firm previously announced. And it’s unclear how “real” this is, meaning whether it’s connected in any way to the firm’s internal systems.

“Welcome to the Sonos App Improvement & Bug Tracker Board,” the Welcome message in the Trello-based roadmap to-do reads. “All the cards here are sourced from our various posts and release notes communications, including communications from [Sonos CEO] Patrick [Spence] directly. This is not an exhaustive list of every item on our Roadmap, nor is it a complete view of all known issues. It is a live document, that will be updated with information as soon as it is made available.”

There are three major sets of Trello cards in the to-do: Recent Additions & Fixes, Coming Soon, and On The Roadmap.

Under Recent Additions & Fixes, Sonos lists Additional fixes for system stability and reliability during setup, Accessibility improvements in Settings, Improved reliability for product setup, Clear Queue (Android), and Night Mode toggle in Room Settings (Soundbars).

Coming Soon has more items, including Search and Browse Latency Fixes, Improved Volume Responsiveness, User Interface improvements (based on customer feedback), Improving the reliability of Alarm consistency, Individual Delete in Queue, and iOS 18 Trueplay Support.

And On the Roadmap has just two items, Full Queue Editing / Management and Playlist Editing.

Comparing these items to the schedule Mr. Spence published over one month ago, the items in Recent Additions & Fixes were scheduled for August and September, while those in Coming Soon are mostly due in September. The two items in On the Roadmap won’t be fixed until October, assuming the firm can even keep to this schedule.
