    One minute, you believe Microsoft is pulling back on the consumer side, the next you note that nothing is happening with Xbox or gaming or Surface which are their consumer products. Hmm. One minute, you say Windows isn't that important anymore, the next you note they are pushing Microsoft 365- a key component of which is Windows. Hmm. Brad, it might be best to write out what you want to convey then winging it just to be first.

      I've been pretty clear about this in the past year


      Windows as a consumer focused product, it's not a priority

      Consumer services - not a priority*

      Consumer hardware - not a priority*

      Windows holographic - not a focus for consumer anymore (if ever)


      The only outlier here is Xbox which they will continue to invest and Surface but still, they are looking to make this a corporate/hero hardware as the only device selling in consistent, meaningful volume, is the Surface Pro.


      I dont see Microsoft investing for any new consumer segments unless they are happy accidents.

    In the Microsoft view of the world, Windows got deprecated.
