<p>I would be fairly surprised if Google orchestrated inaccurate or false leaks. Seems like this could potentially be an SEC issue as stock holders could feel like they were intentionally mislead. I'm not a lawyer so totally spitballing it there but just seem like the kinda thing a publicly traded company would want to get involved in. It could be that "leaks" were simply incorrect, were prototypes that never made it to production or whatever and the Google plans to have some fun with it. </p>
