I think I had the same reaction, I think that any sane person would when reading the Microsoft's blog for this latest 19H1 build release and the File Explorer icon announcement. Just when I thought their changes couldn't get any sillier (is that a word?) Microsoft proves me wrong with yet another mind-boggling change that I would venture to guess not a single Insider brought up as something that needs Microsoft's attention.

I am in complete agreement with you Paul, I have no idea anymore (not that I ever did) what Microsoft is thinking when they make these changes and if there is not a single person in Dona's team that says is it just me or does highlighting an icon sound way too silly to mention in an official blog post for major changes for an Insider build, I mean there has to be someone in that group right? Apparently not is the answer. Even Webster (yes, the dictionary) has no words for the Insider team and their rationale for these changes.

We aren't ALL set in our ways. That's the whole point. I'm tired of being told that we can't change and go to another level. Everyday it's been "all we can do is reiterate". The best stuff is the best evolution of something that already existed? That's not how we arrived at this glorious point in the technology timeline.

For whatever little it's worth, Paul, I for one appreciate what you've been doing all these years in the hopes of getting Microsoft to listen. We've found over the years that at least some of the Microsoft employees watch or listen to these podcasts. Like in WW 595, Mary Jo mentioned that Mike Ybarra had tweeted that he heard you on the communication thing. Now it's a matter of seeing whether Microsoft will change course in their actions and improve in these areas like finishing the job and communicating better.
